i have so much in my life i am proud of and thankful for. I am blessed with 2 perfect (i could be biased..) children. My son, Reece, is a senior at East and plans to go into the Air Force to learn to be a fighter pilot. I am so proud of him and how he has grown up. Of course, he is a metal head and all i hear is Metallica, Ozzy, Megadeth and many more blasting from the basement. Its cool though because its good 80's heavy metal music! lol. My daughter, Aubrey, is a joy to me. Full of life, fun, and silliness. Always making people laugh:) She loves to sing and dance and bounces all over the house doing it!
I have been a nurse for almost 15 years, and i would never be anything else, i believe i found my true calling. I spent alot of years doing travel nursing which i loved, my specialty is OB, and the newborn ICU. in 2007 i was in an accident which left me on disability and unable to be a nurse for awhile.. but i plan to resume nursing more in an educational setting when i go back for my Bachelor's degree. This "tragedy" in my life has proven to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. Not working the last 2 years i have been able to really learn what is important in life, and i have been home more than ever. being a nurse for so long, i didnt realize how much time i had missed out on working such long hours and odd shifts. I am thankful i have had these 2 years to focus on what is really important in life. Nobody every looked back on their life and said "gee, i wish i had worked more."
also, i have been completely sober almost 5 years, and i will be for the rest of my life. I am proud of that and I think my kids are proud of me too.
Running around with Chris, my BFF, and Becky Sitzman, Julie Hoss, Debbie Hames, Dale ("Butch") "cruising" the Ave..lol... we were so cool! Parties at Bauer's, of course, numerous keggers (i think i might have had one... or two..) My after prom party! (anyone lose something there??? hmmm??) and getting in plenty of trouble!
