School Story:
There are so many memories...I wouldn't want to freak anyone out. I'm pretty sure for the past ten years I have "celebrated" your birthday--with or without you. And possibly "celebrated" your parent's birthday's as well. In some way or another I have sent out well wishes and prayed for you. You're welcome. :)
Most of my memories have nothing to do with actually learning anything from a teacher. Mainly because I spent most of my time with my arm raised, supported by my other hand waiting for help. Or I just wasn't "applying" myself.
Most of the songs on the "oldie" stations make those memories come flooding back. And most cars on the road for that matter; VW Bugs, Subaru's, Mazda's and Mustangs.
I do remember being one of the fastest runners in Mr. Rice's Tech class. If you were there...you know what I'm talking about. If you weren't, just ask Jenny Crowfoot.
I also remember being 6th period Teachers Aide for Mrs. Spear for 3 years in a row.
I remember rounding the High School stairs on the first day of Freshman year and fiding out, because of the points, stares and laughter, that I was wearing the same Levi overalls and white t-shirt outfit as Sara Haynes and Moon (?) (this was when there was only three places to shop in Bend)
Going to school with my brother Robbie and cousins Brandi and Matt. Ahhh...good times.
The first day of the school's history, we had JUST moved from California and there was a HORSE tied up to a tree in front of the science wing. Yes. A horse.
Meeting Vanessa, Noelle, and Jill at the pool in Tollgate and Matthew and I telling them we were from England (complete with terrible accents) and then being TERRIFIED that they were at orientation.
Really the list could go on and on. But I will wait to bore you with those at the reunion. :)
