Paula Lambert Tan

Attended Quinnipiac University in Hamden CT from 1998-2002, graduated valedictorian with a degree in chemistry. Worked fulltime my senior year in college and then another year or so after graduating as a Research Associate at Vion Pharmaceuticals in New Haven, CT.

Moved back to Maine in 2003 to attend graduate school at the University of Southern Maine for nursing while Michael stayed in Connecticut to attend graduate school at Quinnipiac University (he got his bachelor's degree there as well).

Got married on June 5, 2004 just about a month after Michael graduated with his master's degree as a Pathologists' Assistant. Took a brief one week break from graduate school to go to St. Lucia for a WONDERFUL honeymoon and then shortly thereafter packed Mike up in CT and myself up in ME and moved to Newburyport Mass so Michael could accept a job at Mass General Hospital. He commuted to Boston and I commuted to Portland (lovely!). We LOVED Newburyport Mass but not the crazy commutes and crazy real estate prices, SO . . .

In December of 2005 in the span of 2 weeks I graduated from USM with my MSN as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and we packed up again and moved back to Maine so Mike could start a position at Dahl Chase Diagnostics and Pathology Associates in Bangor. Shortly thereafter we bought a house in Hermon Maine and I accepted a position as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Acadia Hospital in Bangor.

In February of 2007, I found out I was pregnant and on September 25, 2007, just one day after her daddy's birthday, Mike and I welcomed our beautiful baby girl Riley into the world (ok so maybe I'm a bit bias, maybe NOT EVERYONE will think she is adorable :)). And since then we haven't stopped running for a minute :)
