Comments:

Ed and I celebrated 47 years of marriage this past May. Most of these years we lived in South Haven and raised our family in South Haven. We move to Fruitport, Michigan in 1996 for a couple of years. In 2003 we sold our home in South Haven and moved to a Del Webb Spruce Creek retirement community in Florida, near the Villages. It seemed like I did a lot of packing and unpacking during that time and I was never bored. In 2005 we moved back to Michigan and built the home we now live in on Silver Lake. I have a garden and lots of flowers to keep me busy. I always said the Good Lord had to take me full circle to bring me back to my original roots, close to where I grew up.

After college years, I worked at various jobs, however, the most rewarding was starting and owning my own business for almost 10 years. Travel was always my first love and so I opened a travel agency with a partner in 1989. I knew the PC would eventually put travel agents out of a job and so I sold my business in 1997. Ed and I traveled together alot, going on several cruises,Mexico and the Carribean. I went on various FAM trips in the industry, including China.

Wow! 50 years so much has happened.
Kids and grandkids are the best part of those 50 years.

School Story:

All of us St. Basil kids didn't join the class of 1960 until our Freshman year. I remember being so scared of going to the big Central High School. The big session room was so full of kids, I didn't like getting up to sign out to go to the restroom.

All the slumber parties in town, staying up all night, walking around town late at night and just plain being silly.

I remember Mr. Jessup being the most scary teacher and Mr. Goodrich being the most fun.

I never thought in my Freshman year having Sue Brooks for my gym teacher, that later on in my life I would end up playing golf with her. We have a lot of fun on golf days.

Just being a kid was fun in the 50's 60's.
