Amber Brinkley

After graduating, I attended SIU-C majoring in Biology, but soon came to realize that there was no real practical application for that degree and dropped out for a while to decide what it was that I really wanted to do. I found a perfect fit with nursing school, which statisfied my science craving while allowing me to do what I love most, help others.
After getting my nursing certification, I moved to Chicago and worked in a couple nursing homes and a couple of hospitals, but finally found a place where I feel that I am truly able to make a difference in the quality of life for the individuals there. I am the Charge Nurse at Friedman Place Home for the Visually Impaired and am glad to finally be able to go to work and be happy about it.
I'm currently living on the northside in a 3 story walk up with 2 roommates and my cat (Sh*tty Kitty) and dating Andrew.
