1940 - 2005

NORTH SPRINGFIELD - Walter Bedi, 65, died Dec. 19, 2005, at his home, following a period of failing health.

He was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Springfield, the son of Gabriel and Olga (Neronsky) Bedi.

He graduated from Springfield High School.

On May 27, 1961, Mr. Bedi married Jeanne Perkins in Bellows Falls.

He was employed by Carlson and Lundin Water Well Co. in South Londonderry for many years, and later worked for the A & W Artesian Well Co. of Woonsocket, R.I., for many years as a specialty drill operator.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of North Springfield; his mother of Springfield; two sons, Andrew Bedi of Springfield and Matthew Bedi of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Amber Cutler of Chester; six grandchildren; two brothers, Mitchell Bedi of Whitefield, N.H., and James Bedi of Jamaica, Vt.; a sister, Barbara Weaver of Charlestown, N.H.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at the Davis Memorial Chapel.

The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at the Davis Memorial Chapel with Matthew Reimann of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Rockingham officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery in North Springfield.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel.
