Marjorie Brodeur (Masella)

July 20, 1940 - July 6, 2003

Marjorie E. (Brodeur) Masella, R.N., 62, of Pittsfield, died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Concord Hospital after a lengthy battle with kidney disease.

Mrs. Masella was born July 20, 1940, in Claremont, daughter of the late Armand L. and Margaret (Couture) Brodeur.

She was the wife of Michael E. Masella Jr. of Pittsfield, to whom she was married for 41 years.

During her career, Mrs. Masella was employed as a registered nurse at Malden Hospital and Choate Memorial Hospital in Massachusetts. Later she served as nursing supervisor at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Mrs. Masella and her husband owned Twin M. Supermarket in Pittsfield.

She was known as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose family was the center of her life. She loved doing craftwork and decorating her home.

Mrs. Masella graduated from Springfield (Vt.) High School and Burbank Hospital School of Nursing.

Besides her husband, survivors include a son, Michael J. Masella of Merrimack; two daughters, Deborah Ithier of Hooksett and Michelle Jean Beckenstein of Brentwood; a brother, Michael Brodeur of Hudson; a sister, Phyllis Britton of Greenfield, Mass.; six grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

The McHugh Funeral Home in Manchester is in charge of arrangements.
