In Memory

Rose Fluray (Rooney)

January 17, 1940 - April 4, 2023

Just received from Rose's daughter

Hi Fred,

I have very sad news and wanted to let you know that my mom passed away early this morning.

She fell 3 weeks ago and fractured her left hip. She went through the surgery and was sent to rehab. While she was at rehab, she fell out of bed and incurred a contusion on her left temple and her left hand was swollen. She was in constant pain since she fractured her hip and stated multiple times to my sister and I that this was not living.

We honored her request and had her transferred to Hospice and she was finally able to get some relief from the pain.

We know that she is happy now with our dad and free of pain.

I am so sorry to learn of Rose's passing and the difficult end of her time in this realm. She was a nice girl as I remember her in class. Relatively quiet, nice and caring personality. I give my best to her family, relatives and close friends.

Kelly and Holly,

So saddened to hear of your Mom's passing.  She was a very dear friend, starting in  high school and continuing throughout the years   One of my fondest memories, among many others, was the. prom that we doubled dated.  A fun time and great memory.  Our heartful thoughts are with you and your family.  She will be missed by many, the Class of 1958, Don and myself.

I sent a link to Rose's In Memory page so they could see the comments left by classmates. Since they could not respond they asked me to do so in their stead and sent this:

"Thank you so much Fred!  It was comforting to read the condolences for mom.

We are unable to respond, and would appreciate it if you could post our thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Thank you,

Kelly Rooney Blocker and Holly Burke"
