Evalyn Rose Bryant of Springfield died February 29 at JFK Memorial Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL.. She was 60.
 
She was born on December 15, 1939, the daughter of Saima E. (Kalinen) and Arthur "Andy" Johnson. She received her high school education in Springfield.
 
She married David A. Bryant Sr, on August 9, 1958 at the United Methodist Church in Springfield. The couple raised four children, daughter Janet and sons David Jr., Peter A. and Arthur P.
 
After becoming disabled at a young age, Mrs. Bryant's life was challenging every minute of every day. But she enjoyed singing and cooking, as well as time with her family.
 
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Springfield and the Good Shepard United Methodist Church in West Palm Beach, FL. Additionally, she was a Woman of The Mouse in Springfield for many years. In recent years, she and her devoted husband of over 40 years spent winters at their condo in Florida.
 
Mrs. Bryant was predeceased by her parents and a twin son, Arthur Peter Bryant.
 
She is survived by her husband; sons David A. Bryant Jr. and Peter A. Bryant, both of Springfield; daughter Janet E. Cassell of Westminster West; five grandchildren, David A. Bryant III, Saima and Grace Cassell, Adam and Arthur Bryan and Lean Manly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
Funeral services for Mrs. Bryant were held Friday, March 3 at the United Methodist Church of Springfield, with Rev. William Scherwerts officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Pleasantview Cemetery in Ludlow.

Arrangements were under the direction of Adams-Gendron Funeral Home of Chester.
