Helen Poljacik

November 29, 1914 - September 29, 1992 

 

PROCTOR Helen L. Poljacik, 77, died Tuesday afternoon at her home. 

She was born in Florence, Nov. 29, 1914, daughter of Andrew and Helen Suchan Poljacik. 

She graduated from Castleton State College and received a degree in education from George Washington University. 

She served in the Navy during World War ll. 

Miss Poljacik taught for many years in Springfield. 

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Suchan of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Julia Foote of Norwell, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Lt. John Poljacik; and a sister, Suzanne Bolwell. 

There are no calling hours. 

The private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery, Pittsford. 

Memorial contributions, in lieu of (lowers, may be made to RAVNA, Southwestern Vermont Hospice Network, 7 Albert Cree Dr Rutland, 05701; or the Rutland Area Hospice, P.O. Box 924, Rutland, 05702. 

The Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford is in charge of arrangements.
