Eileen Faignant (Kendall)

SPRINGFIELD -Eileen Kendall, 69, died July 17, 2010, at Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital.

She was born April 27, 1941, in Springfield, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Turner) Faignant, and she attended Springfield High School.

She married Alvin Kendall in 1963.

In Springfield, Mrs. Kendall worked as a librarian at the town library for a number of years, as a cook in the schools for many years, and was later employed at Fair-Rite.

She enjoyed bowling, swimming, crocheting, playing cards and bocci, calling and playing bingo, and spending time on Cape Cod. She was a fan of the UConn women's basketball team and the Detroit Tigers.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Mary Faignant of South Windsor, Conn.; two daughters, Carrie Holowis of Boyertown, Pa., and Carla Ward of Springfield; a son, Leonard Kendall of Charlestown,N.H.; two granddaughters and some cousins.

The celebration of her life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the home of Lora and Wayne Wheelock on Beaver Brook Road in Baltimore.
