Cherrill Smith Rowell 
Williston, VT

Cherrill “Cherry” Rowell, 80, passed peacefully on March 4, 2022, after a long illness. 

Cherry is survived by her husband William Rowell of Williston, VT. She was a longtime summer resident of Greensboro, VT and Sunapee, NH. Cherry was born in Springfield, VT, the daughter of the late Kingsley Smith Sr. and the late Virginia Coley Smith. Cherry was predeceased by her daughter Jill Ann Robertson and her brothers Kingsley Smith Jr. and W. Gordon Smith.

Besides her husband Bill, Cherry is survived by her son Scott Robertson and his partner Debra Green of Newbury, MA, her son Dale Rowell and his wife Diane of St. Johnsbury, VT, her daughter Elizabeth Rowell of New York, New York and her sister in-law Devon Smith of Sunapee, NH. Cherry was also the former mother in-law to Michelle Robertson and the former wife of Robert Robertson.

Cherry was the cherished grandmother to Paige Robertson Mahoney, her husband Paul, Jack Robertson, Benjamin Robertson, Nick Green, Kyle Green, Calsey and Caleb Grant and Colby Rowell. The aunt to Alison Smith and the great grandmother to Landon and Gordon Grant. 

Cherry loved spending time with her family who will miss her dearly. If there is a chocolate chip cookie competition in heaven, look out here she comes. May she rest in the sweetest peace.

A private interment will be held in the spring in Hardwick, VT.
