I went from a very small school to one of the biggest in the country. Graduated from the University of Wisconsin, 6/6/1966.

then to Paris. France for six months. Then to Athens, Greece for 3 months, then to Helsinki, Finland for 2 months and return to St Louis to attend graduate school at Washington University. MAT, 1970.

Married in 1968. lived in Ft., Sill, OKLA; then Ft. Huachuca, AZ. then back to St. Louis again where we lived in Glendale after my husband returned from Viet Nam and where our 4 children were born.

moved in 1980 to Memphis, TN where I was divorced in 1982. I went back to school with no help from anyone--not financial or anything else and four small children at home--and earned a BSEE.

As a 43 year old stay at home mother with no work experience except part time, I finally found a job at the Army Missile Command in Huntsville, AL so I moved there with my second husband in 1987 to work on weapons of mass destruction. Thank goodness I had a good math foundation so that I could understand millimeter-wave radar. This was a good-old-boy environment to say the least and very southern. I was divorced again in 1989, I think. On my own.
I worked in AL for 12 years until my children had all graduated from high school and moved away from AL. I then took a job with Raytheon Defense company in Tucson and lived in Tucson for almost 5 years. I returned to St Louis in 2004 to work for the Boeing Company as a Systems Engineer.

School Story

I was known for being terrible at field hockey, tennis, soccer etc. Always the last one to be selected for a team and often not selected at all. So I have very strong memories of the time I defeated Judy Stern in the final fencing tournament!!!!! Who would have thought it would ever happen? but it did!!!!
