Graduation was a huge relief after not being the ideal high school student. I went to the U of M for a couple of semesters to appease the boyfriend at the time but wasn't well prepared for college. After too many frat parties and way too much drinking, I left the U and enrolled in cosmetology school at the Aveda Institute. I worked part-time for Scott Hansen's Comedy Gallery and Wild Bills Comedy Safari in St. Anthony Main. That was the most fun job ever! When I graduated from Aveda I got a tattoo, broke up with the boyfriend and got a job working at a salon in Eden Prairie. I did hair with that salon for ten years and in that time met and married Randy, moved to Chaska and had three sweet babies that are now super cool kids! I left that job in 2001 to be a stay-at-home mom after Jacob was born. That was the hardest job I've ever had! When a series of unfortunate events required me to get back into the workforce, I decided to get a nursing degree. I graduated in 2007 and now work as an RN at Fairview Southdale Hospital on a surgical recovery floor. I feel so blessed to have had two careers in my lifetime that I love, a fun and loving family and lots of cool people in my life. I'm super excited to see everyone at the reunion!
