Amy Swedberg Hagen

After high school, I attended college at Macalester and University of St. Thomas and received a degree in economics, followed by Law School at the University of Minnesota where I graduated in 1996. I am currently a partner at Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP, an 80-attorney firm in downtown Minneapolis. I specialize in representing commercial lenders and indenture trustees with creditor rights and business bankruptcy issues. My husband, Mike, and I were married in the Bahamas in 2006, and I have a step-son, Mackenzie, born in January, 2004. I enjoy traveling, yoga, golf, volleyball, biking, reading and spending time with family and friends.

In high school, I was on the debate team and enjoyed business law and mock trial having decided early on my future was in the legal profession. I also enjoyed performing on the Parkette danceline at school half-time shows, pep fests, parades, Viking half-time shows, annual trips and other events. As a part of Parkettes, I was on the Pom Pom squad my junior and senior years. A few of my closest high school friends are Betsy Wilson (Potter), Laura Pearson (McLellan) and Jennifer Dols (Lehrke).
