Jayne BRYANT Hasselroth

After graduation I traveled with friends a bit and then returned to St. Petersburg where I worked at Honeywell Aeronautical Division for around 6 years. I married, had two children and then moved to California for 5 years. I returned to St. Petersburg once again for a few years before moving to Chicagoland, where I went to college for Advertising and Design. I worked with Dukane Corporation for many years as an Art Director. I then took a short break from working and spent a little time in Hawaii and worked freelance. I worked for United Labs for the next 17+ years as a Graphic Designer Senior Artist before retiring in 2008. I still live in the Chicagoland area with my husband Bob. My hobbies include doing promotional work for my daughter's singing career; maintaining websites for her band and the Kyle Chandler Fan Club; and playing with my great-grandson Neeko.

I was always interested in the arts. I loved music and played clarinet/sax, and keyboards. I had a few close friends in high school but mostly hung around Florence Coggins and Joyce Deal. We went roller skating, dancing and driving around town through drive-in restaurants meeting up with friends.

Because I was very tall and thin, and mini skirts were in fashion, I had a hard time getting skirts at an acceptable length for school. I remember being sent to the office for wearing my skirt too short. There was a lot of leg above that skirt length, but well above the knee.

Another time I got into trouble with Miss Ludlam, my World History teacher for talking. She moved me to a desk right in front of hers. Before that I had always been really friendly to her and after that I completely ignored her. One day she said, "OK Jayne, I can't stand it anymore. You can move back to your old seat.

There were so many good times. I miss those days.
