After High School and College, I married Dewitt Alderman (SHS 61) and followed/supported him in the Army Security Agency assignments he had as an ELINT Senior Analyst working directly for NSA (National Security Agency). After time in Boston and Texas in service, we moved several times with our work, winding up in Savannah for 7 years where I worked in Insurance, finance, and banking. The rest of my career, I focused on banking and he on Information Technology. We lived briefly in Rome, GA. and Chattanooga Tennessee, before settling in Brunswick Ga for 10 years, then both transferring to Atlanta where I continued working for Suntrust Banks, and he for Georgia Pacific. I retired in 2000 and Dewitt followed me in 2007. Before those retirements we had the opportunity to travel extensively in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, and the Caribbean, and have continued those travels since our retirements. In our transfers to Atlanta, we settled on Roswell GA as our home and spent the next 26 years there before downsizing and moving to Cumming GA in 2015. We still travel extensively (pre Covid), and plan to go back once this mess is over. We are blessed with good health, and are very active with mountain trips several times a week in our cocoon (cars) with other couples meeting us at special destinations for social picnics. Life is good, we are blessed, and pray it will continue!
