I hold a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Arkansas, a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Arkansas. Recently, I was honored with a Center for Online Learning Research and Service Faculty Fellowship, for my research in the area of human capital development. My research was also featured in the Journal of Youth and Society in July of 2013. I am an active member of the American Political Science Association; American Society for Public Administration; Arkansas Political Science Association; and a former Southern Regional Education Board and Benjamin Lever Doctoral Fellow. I have appeared, as a political analyst, on the Arkansas Education Television Network's Arkansas Week and Minority Matters. I served on the faculty for 10 years at the University of Central Arkansas. Additionally, I have taught state politics at the University of Texas at Dallas.
