I was told of Steve's passing on Sunday morning (05/20/2012) by Pauline (Schut) Krauter. She gave me me the following information.

Steve died of an apparent heart attack at his mothers home in the Tri-Cities on Sunday morning May 20, 2012. He was in the process of moving back to Eastern Washington from Whidbey Island to be closer to family. He had not been feeling well for a couple of days prior to his passing and was just preparing to leave his moms house to go to the local Medi-Center when he suffered an apparent heart attack. Attempts to revive him by the responding EMS providers were unsucessfull.

A friend from childhood, all those years in school. In those times, we didn't look ahead to see these times. A time now where we all look back and wonder where those times went. We pass each other on occasion, maybe to talk a little while. Then we move on again, like we always have. But I believe, no matter what, there was a flashing thought in both us....... about those earlier times.
Be at peace.
