Ronnie was such a polite person. This is sad.

I remember Ronnie as a quiet guy in school but on the football field it was a different story. I sure didn't like playing across from him. He played every play like it was his last and he really loved the game. After the last game of the season our senior year, I happened upon him in the locker room. He was sitting there with his head in his hands. I asked him what was wrong and he looked at me and said, "Don't you understand? This is it for us. There will be no more games." I didn't know what to say to him.

When I learned at our 10 year reunion that he had passed away, I thought about that conversation and it really made me sad.

Does anyone know what caused his death???

Grant,

I heard many years ago that Ronnie died in a construction related accident. He was working on a scaffold that was built high up when it collapsed. It was a quick and sudden death. I never received any actual confirmation about this, but this information did come from a good source. Prior to his death, I also heard that his parents left him after graduation without any notice of where they were going or when they would return. So Ronnie died not having anyone in his life. It is truly a tragic story.
