Lupe and I were friends from 5th grade, when I moved to Tehachapi, until after graduation. The thing I remember best was Lupe's laugh. She was a really sweet person, kind to everyone, but Lord help you if you made her mad. RIP Lupe.
I was shocked to read Lupe passed away. I remember seeing her again in town and visited with her and her family at her home. She lived not far from me. We enjoyed remembering old memories and classmates. She was kind and happy as always. I wish our schedules could have permitted us to spend more time together with our families.
