Jean Carol (Fisher) Angus, 76, of Tiffin, died at 4:13 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born March 2, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Robert William and Ruth Evelyn (Homan) Fisher. She married Joseph Cleveland Angus III Nov. 25, 1959, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tiffin, and he preceded her in death March 17, 2011.

Survivors include three children, Brenda Ruth (Matt) Gordon of Findlay, Joseph Cleveland (Laddawan) Angus IV of Naperville, Illinois, and Robert John (Kimberly) Angus of Adairsville, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Aubrey Jean Gordon of Findlay, Vivien Ruth Rutter, Joseph Cleveland Angus V. and Jack Lawrence Angus, all of Utah, Cassidy Bussaba Angus of Naperville and Christopher Falconbury and Caleb (Danielle) Falconbury of Adairsville; and three great-grandsons, Jackson Falconbury, Grayson Falconbury and Tristen Coker, all of Adairsville.

Jean was a 1959 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She retired in 2001 from Tiffin City Schools as the EMIS coordinator and long-time secretary at East Junior High and later Tiffin Junior High School. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tiffin AMVETS, Eagles and Moose.

After her retirement, she and Joe spent the next nine years traveling around the country, being “Winter Texans” and camping with their grandchildren. She was a long-time participant of the Tiffin Flea Market and Tail Gater in Texas. She liked Western square dancing, taught line dancing and loved garage sales, playing cards, collecting Fenton and Tiffin Glass and camping. She loved to follow the Ohio State University Buckeyes and Duke University Blue Devils sports; as well as, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns games. She enjoyed calling bingo for Pantry Plus at Tiffin Moose and AMVETS and volunteering at Greenlawn Cemetery in the office. She was active in Girl Scouts and taught Sunday school for many years. Most of all, she loved decorating for holidays year around, doing things with her grandchildren and being a part of their activities.

Visitation with family and friends will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113.

Her funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Rummel officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bloomville.
