Gerald R. ‘Jerry’ Lupton

Gerald R. "Jerry" Lupton, 73, of Tiffin, passed away at 8:36 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

Jerry was born Aug. 12, 1941, in Plymouth, Michigan, to the late Laurence Gerald and Beulah Llavon (Burns) Lupton. He married Marjorie (Routzahn) Nov. 26, 1965, in Angola, Indiana, and they divorced in 1981.

Survivors include his two sons, Gregory James (Catherine) Lupton of Mason and Herbert Ray Lupton of Adelphi, Maryland; two grandchildren, Ryan and Abbey Lupton, both of Mason; a brother, David (Maria) Lupton of Casper, Wyoming; and two sisters, twin sister, Judy (Richard) Wall of New Riegel and Lois (Paul) Fey of Tiffin.

 

Jerry was self-employed and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and vehicle restoration. He was a 1959 graduate of Columbian High School and also a 1961 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Keith Lupton, who passed away Dec. 14, 2014.

A memorial service for Jerry will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, with Pastor Matthew D. Garrabrant officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

There will be no burial at this time.
