Michael L. Chapman, 78, of Fostoria, passed away at 5:43 am Tuesday February 19, 2019 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born February 5, 1941 in Sandusky. His parents Robert and Wanda (Bentley) Chapman preceded him in death. He married Carol A. (Kirian) Runion in 1989 in Risingsun and she survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving is a daughter, Michele Murphy, Tiffin; stepdaughters, Paula (Nick) Tsantles, Bradenton, FL and Lori (Mike) Kitchen, Fostoria; grandchildren, Matthew, Catherine, Michael and Jennifer Murphy, Zach, Lexie and Morgan Tsantles, Cory and Casey Kitchen; great-granddaughter, Brielle Council; brother, Jeff Noftz, Fostoria; and sister, Mary Lou (Carl) Shultz, Michigan. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Harold Rowlett.

Mike was a US Navy veteran and a life member of the Fostoria Amvets, VFW and American
Legion. He retired from Autolite Spark Plug, Fostoria in 1994 and was a member of local UAW 533.7

Memorial visitation is Friday February 22, 2019 from 5-7 pm at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.

A celebration of life service will begin at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home with the Fostoria United Veterans providing military honors. A luncheon will follow in the funeral home.
