We called him 'Peanuts' and he was a Nut :-)  he sat behind me and I'd get in trouble (again) for laughing. He'd lean over my shoulder and say 'Your mother wears combat boots for earrings' and other funny things.  You couldn't want for a more loyal Friend than Peanuts.  He was 'quick witted' and I dare say everyone liked him.  Peanuts you're missed and remembered with a smile in my heart.

What a memory, a sweet memory you gave me, with "Peanuts!" He really was a great guy! Think his girlfriend was Christine something, also a fun person! Maybe......Christine Robinson? I remember them from "West Jr High!" Don't remember what Peanuts passed away from......or what happened to Christine?!?! Help me out Diana Hyde?? Great memories! Truly, age is just a number!!!

Thank you, Jenny, for remembering &  confirming what a sweet, memorable guy Peanuts was. It's been too many years but I think you're right about his girlfriend.  Peanuts'  contagious humor made everyone burst into laughter that hurt when we couldn't stop. Right? :-)

You know what Diana, I'm not so sure if this is the "Peanuts" I remember! My guy I think, only went to West, then think he moved away. Seems he passed away when we were in High School! He was VERY short & I remember a round face & always a smile!

His graduation picture is what I remember him to look like. His brother, nickname of Duck, worked in the meat section of Rickers Store. Hope this helps to solve the mystery :-).  In any case, it's my pleasure to talk with you, Jenny.  What I remember most about You is that Smile you always had, and your unfailing comoradity with your friends.  We never know the memories held by people we meet. Hopefully our footprints are met with a Smile :-)

Oh my gosh Diana, that is so sweet of you to say about me!!! I "do" try to be nice and certainly have never  intentially tried to hurt anyone!

I felt bad at our last reunion I didn't get a chance to talk with you:-( There just never seems to be enough time!  I wish there was some way you could make it happen this year!  But, know you have a LOT going on, with the move and all.  Very tough, esp. moving a great distance!  Are you moving back to the same are where you were?

Have to say, YOU always had a great smile, warm & welcoming!

I do think the "Peanuts" I am thinking about, is different and from West Jr. High.  Pretty sure his girlfriend there WAS Christine Robinson.  He was very short and very sweet!  One of them had to move away and I remember her being devastated.

Good luck with your move and let's keep in touch!

XO

Jenny

Eugene and I ran together all through high school and up until his death. He lived with his wife Phyliss and two wonderful kids Barry and Jennifer in Greenville Tennesse and his family still lives there. We went to see them every year until his death and we continue to see his wife and kids at least twice a year. He was a wonderful friend and I would say as close as brothers. He died from Agent Orange that he got in the service as far as we know. At least thats what we were told. We miss him terribly but, he is in a good place.

We are looking for Eugene's date of death. Do any of you making comments happen to know when he died? We're planning a special memorial for our deceased.

Eugene Jordan was a very very good friend  and as close to me as a brother. His date of death was Feb 27, 1997. We will never forget  this as, we were there for his funeral.
