Wilbert was not only a friend, but a fellow Marine. He always had a smile and was great to be around. I was stationed on Okinawa afterr my tour in Viet Nam, and I ran into Wilbert on his way to be deployed. He was a combat photographer and took the time to take some pictures of me at my duty station as a gate sentry. After his tours in 'Nam he became a oral historian and had a one man show on the subject of the black cowboy in the old wild west.
