Randy was a helluva man. News of his passing is especially shocking because he was so energetic and animated at the reunion. He helped me to understand substance based illness when I knew I needed it to improve diagnosis and treatment of a significant fraction of the patient population. The positive impact he has had on the world is immeasurable and likely greater than some famous for their contribution to society. We, and many who have never heard of him will miss him, but his grandmother's legacy which he carried on will continue to send out ripples of hope and inspiration further and for longer than we will ever know. Rest in peace, Randy. You've earned it.

My husband and I live in McKinney, Tx. He was in sales and management with P&G, J&J and Ragu Foods all of his career. Been retired for several years now. Wouldn't it be funny if you two actually knew each other thru grocery business!!
