Larry Overstreet

Larry Overstreet, 55, Topeka, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Overstreet was a welder and pipefitter, and had worked worldwide until he retired in 1998.

He was born Sept. 12, 1946 in Lawrence, the son of Lynn Oscar and Bernice Edna Underwood Overstreet.  He graduated from Topeka High School in 1964.

Mr. Overstreet was an avid motorcyclist and racing enthusiast.

He married Ginger McPhail in 1967.  They divorced.  He married Tammy Palmer in 1994.  They also divorced.

Survivors include a companion, Roxann “Sam” Clatterbuck, Topeka; his mother, Bernice Overstreet, Sumter, S.C.; a daughter, Laura Rhodes, Bedford, Texas; a son, Lonnie Overstreet, Junction City; and a sister, Lynda Parker, Sumter, S.C.

Mr. Overstreet was a full organ donor at death.  Cremation is planned.  Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
