William G."Buzz" Rose Jr., 24, Topeka died Sunday in a Topeka hospital where he underwent abdominal surgery in July. He had cancer.

He was born Jan.1,1947 in Topeka where he spent his life. He was graduated from Topeka High School in 1964. He formerly was a member of Troop 39 and Explorer Post 39 of Boy Scouts of America sponsored by Third Christian Church.

He was employed as a pressman at the State Printing Plant and was a member of Local No. 49 of the Pressman's Union.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.G. Rose, Sr., at home: 7 sisters, Mrs. Mary Pennington, Mrs. Margaret Terrel, Yvonne Rose, Vicki Rose, Barbara Rose, Sherry Rose and Annette Rose, all of Topeka; 5 brothers, Jerry Rose,in military service in Vietnam, Michael Rose, Kenneth Rose, Dennis Rose and Tracy Rose, all of Topeka; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. William Reedy, Topeka.

Davidson-Duff Funeral Home is in charge with burial in Emmanuel Cemetery southeast of Topeka.
