Tom's comments agree with what I've heard. I know Charlie was in California in his later years, although I can't confirm he died there. He reportedly passed away at least a few years ago, but details are hard to come by. If anyone has more information, please let me or Bruce Jones know. Thanks
The Washburn Alumni Magazine says Charles Schwarz III (Bachelor of Music '69) died at age 66 in Hartville, Mo on May 13. He served in the Navy and taught music at Siuslaw High School in Oregon. He was a member of Alpha Delta and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Survivors include a brother James who got his Bachelor of Music in 1966 and lives in Eureka, KS.
Alas, our Charlie remained an enigma even in death. Tom is right about the last name as well as Charlie's sister's name. Bob probably has some correct info. I communicated with Charlie several months before his purported death, and he was in Oregon. He moved around a bit and had been in National City, CA, for many years. Perhaps more research is required, or we can just let him rest!

First, I think Charlie's name was Schwartz not Schwarz.
I also remember that his dad's name was Lloyd so I don't think he could be a number III.
He had a brother named Jim but I think Jim preceeded Charlie in death.
He also had a sister who went by Peggy as I remember. I know his mom was Donna.
I remember that his family was active at Grace Episcopal Cathederal, maybe they have some info.
