Juanice owned and operated Head Hunters in Topeka for more than 20 years. She was also an instructor at the American Academy. After she graduated from Topeka High, she attended Washburn University and was grauated as an instructor from the Virginia Ferri College. She was studying mortuary science at Allen County at the time of her death.
Juanice was married to Jerome E. Doby in 1976. He survives, along with a son, a daughter, a stepson and two stepdaughters, and her parents, the Rev. Dr. W.L. and Barbara Templeton.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, and Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
Juanice was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
