I'm saddened by Carl's deathl. I didn't know him well, but remember him from Tennis Camp in the late 50s, and then at THS. He was one of the good guys in the class of '64. Condolences to his family at this difficult time.

I'm pretty sure Carl and I went through Gage and Roosevelt as well as THS. Carl and his wife lived next door to my parents in Topeka. Connie babysat my two kids while I did a school psychology practicum one summer. They had fun playing with Billy and Michelle, and I enjoyed catching up with Carl. I'm sorry about his passing. He was a gentle guy who was always friendly and smiling.

I am so deeply sorry to learn about Carl's passing. The last time I saw him was at our 25th THS reunion. I grew up next door to his grandparents on Jewell Street and I knew his family well as I used to "babysit" with his younger siblings and with his Sister Sharon's children. Carl ("Carly" to his family) was a kind, rather soft spoken, and thoughtful guy from my experience. I remember many childhood games outdoors when the would visit their grandparents next door which was usually a weekly occurrence. So very sorry to read about his multiple health issues. A lifetime is so very short. My loving thoughts are with his wife and children, and other family members.

I remember that smile.  Glad they used yearbook picture, it is how I remember him.  I remember he was a friend of Rick Douglass, but they even shared a birthday!  Carl and I used to talk at the cleaners.  Sorry to hear he had health issues and to learn of his passing.  Blessings on you Carl and prayers to your family.  I will miss you.
