Jim lived in California until he was 15, when he moved to Kansas with his mother and brother. After graduation from Topeka High, Jim was a professional driver. His most recent job was a school bus driver for Topeka Lutheran School. He was church custodian at St. John's Lutheran Church, where he was a member for many years.
Jim loved table tennis, softball, and was an active member of the Kansas Herpetological Socirty.
Jim is survived by his daughter, two grandsons, his mother and brother. He is buried in the Lutheran section at Topeka Cemetery.
