Born: Oct. 24, 1945, Los Angeles

Died: April 12, 1998, Kansas City, Kansas, of leukemia

Louis worked in production for Goodyear for about 30 year, retiring in 1998.  According to his obit, he joined the Seabees in 1962 and served in the Navy until 1965, then served in the Navy Reserves and the Army National Guard.  While in the Guard he served in the HHC 69th Infantry Battalion, holding the rank of sergeant first class before he retired in 1992.

Lois was an investor in Thunderhill Racetrack.  In 1996, he became a partner in 4-Star, Inc., which served as promoters of Thunderhill.  He raced street-style vehicles from 1995 until illness forced his retirement in July 1997.

He married Mary Grace in 1969; they were divorced.

He is survived by two daughters, his mother, six brothers and three sisters, and five grandchildren.

Louis was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where services were held for him before he was buried in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
