Linda Lee Webb

Linda Lee Webb, 67, of Topeka, passed away December 23, 2013. She was born in Topeka to Richard C. and Fern L. (Buford) Webb on November 13, 1946. She was raised in Topeka and attended Buchanan Grade

School, Boswell Junior High, and Topeka High School graduating with the class of 1964. She also attended Topeka Technical Institute and Washburn University. Linda was employed by the State of Kansas as an office assistant. She retired October 31, 2011 after working 27 years .

Linda was a member of Greater Brown Chapel A.M. E. Church, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Junior and Senior Choirs, A.C.E. League, Junior Usher, Junior Missionary Society, Menninger Bible Study, and the Knitting Circle of Topeka. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, playing solitaire, crossword puzzles, computer games (especially Golf), movies, playing the piano, singing and listening to all kinds of music, especially Jazz and Blues.

Linda is survived by her sister, Gwendolyn Buchanan, Leavenworth, KS; a niece, Melanie Buchanan, Edwardsville, KS; nephews, John M. Buchannan, Jr. (Lisa), Phoenix, Arizona, and Christopher W. Buchanan (Stephanie), Towson, MD; great-nephew, John M. Buchanan III; great niece, Natalie Buchanan; cousins, other relatives; Musketeers - Miriam, Diana, Joy and Marlina; and a wide circle of devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her maternal grandparents, William and Carrie (Rucker) Buford; a paternal aunt, Pearl Butler; and her brother-in-law, John M. Buchanan, Sr.
