Jim Tom Foster, 69, Topeka, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016. He was born April 20, 1946 in Topeka, the son of Nellie and David H. Foster. Tom is survived by his sister, Beverly Bauer; three brothers, Pete Foster (Kay), Paul Foster (Pat) and David E. Foster; and best friend, Sally Brown. A gathering to celebrate Tom s life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25th, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, S.W. 6th & Gage in Topeka. Jim Tom Foster, 69, Topeka, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016. He was born April 20, 1946 in Topeka, the son of David H. and Nellie K. (Flanagan) Foster.
Tom attended Parkdale Elementary, East Topeka Jr. High, and was a 1964 graduate of Topeka High School. He worked 25 years as a pressman for his brother, Pete, at Diamond Printing. He was a member of Graphic Communications Local 16c and enjoyed watching drag racing and KU basketball.
Tom is survived by his sister, Beverly Bauer, of Scranton; three brothers, Pete Foster (Kay), of Topeka, Paul Foster (Pat), of Topeka and David E. Foster, of Mt. Home, Arkansas; and best friend, Sally Brown, of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Nellie; sisters, Mary A. Jones and Viola Booton; and brother, George Foster.
A gathering to celebrate Tom’s life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 6th & Gage in Topeka.
