Stephen C. Bracken, 69, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016.

He was born June 6, 1946, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Clyde and Alyce (Woodcox) Bracken. He was a 1965 graduate of Topeka High School and worked at Goodyear for 38 years, retiring in 2002. Stephen served in the Army National Guard for six years and was a member of American Legion Post #1.

Stephen married Jerrie Lynne Thrower on August 9, 1969. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Stephanie (Chris) Bookman, Samantha (Latham Worl) Bracken, and Cindy (Ricardo) Rangel; and brother, Earl Bracken.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Stephen was cremated. A celebration of life will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Clyde O. Bracken Sertoma Park, 200 SW 12th Street, Topeka, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals or Helping Hands Humane Society.
