After high school, I went to nursing school in Concord, figured out that that was not my calling and somehow wound up in the embroidery industry as a trainer and trade show coordinator for an embroidery machine distributor when I was 21. This took me to Greensboro to live and I traveled around the US lots on business. I moved to Tampa a few years later to sell embroidery equipment and "fell in love" long distance with a tech I knew from working in Greensboro. He unfortunatley was in our Los Angeles area office, so we had a long distance relationship for a year'ish. I moved to California in 1991 and we started an embroidery business. We got married in 1992 at Castle McCollough and lived in Ca until 1994. That's when the big earthquake hit! I high-tailed it to Atlanta. We sold our business, that now had 12 employees and LOTS of overhead, and "retired" for a month or so. Then we both started businesses again. I do embroidery and digitizing of the designs and Scott has a business of servicing the equipment and buying/selling used equipment. I also offer screenprinting now along with running Scott's company.
I am an Ovarian cancer survivor. It was found in 1997 when I had a miscarriage. I have been "clean" for 11 years now! Praise God! After that, I had the boys and life has not slowed down since!
I am very involved with my church, I like to plan and throw parties! We enjoy camping and traveling, I feel like I am never at home! If you ever come through the Atlanta area, please give me a call and maybe we can do dinner!.....If I'm in town! ;D Take care, mich:)
