School Story:
The school trips were probably the best of numerous good memories. The wildest was the ski trip to Purgatory in Durango, CO. I blew an ankle two days prior to the trip and couldn't ski but went anyway (it was paid for...). We had a blast (Don George striking a pose as "Sears Man", etc.). Not being able to ski I wound up hanging around the resort. Sitting in the sauna, as the steam cleared, I found myself sitting next to Rock Hudson. He was there filming the movie "Avalanche" and after some small talk invitied me to be an extra in the movie. It was pretty cool but seeing the film, they, probably wisely, cut out the shots I was involved with!
Remember the parties we used to have on those long bus rides? Nothing better!! Except for the ride home from Durango. I wound up with the late 70's version of the swine flu. I don't recall who I was sitting next to but he would not let me have the window seat in order to sleep and would not let me lean against him (yeah, VERY sick) and I would up lying in the isle on the floor between the seats. People walking over me to get to the bathrooms and soaking up the spilled rum and other wonderful things finding their way to the floor of a high school charter! I lived literally across the street from SR and was too sick to walk home, it was almost a week before I could return to school.
All told, maybe not the best (Park City, San Diegox2) but certainly the most memorable! (Go easy on me, I still have a whole stack of pictures from these trips...........!!)
