wow. I'm not a writer or very long winded when it comes to emails. So, how about bullet points?!
-I went to Appalachian State Univeristy and had the most incredible 4.5 years--learned that I absolutely love the outdoors, and so I explored every trail under the sun in those mountains.
-After college, I wanted to be a missionary and had a passion to master the Spanish language. I spent a lot of time in Panama, and also went to Bolivia and Ecuador.
-Then in 2007 I married Patrick Strickland and moved back to Boone, NC. I've been working for Samaritan's Purse, and international Christian disaster relief organization, and yes, sitting in a cubicle. I never thought I would do it, but God has used my gray cubicle to teach me all kinds of lessons these past few years. Humilty, patience, and grace being the major three. Pat and I spend our free time writing music and playing and singing around town.
