Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments:

Back where I am originally from (ie. Japan) working in the IT industry for the last 20+ years. Had a wife, went back single and got re-married in 2010. Have a kid (with my ex-wife), a boy of 20 years old.

Still in music, doing some 20 to 30 gigs a year mainly covering Queen stuff and lots of favourites from early 80s as well as my originals both in Japanese and English.

I went to a reunion held a year after the 9/11 (20th or rather 21st reunion?) in Tulsa but I have not been able to keep in touch with people from that reunion because I moved several times since then and lost e-mail address and such. I'd love to get back in the loop!!!

Many of you may have heard of the recent earthquake and tsunami (tidal wave) that hit Japan. Also, somewhat media-over-sensationalized nuclear powerplant desaster. Received emails from some classmates and I am so thankful for that.

Fortunately I have survived so far from all of that and now planning on attending the 30th reunion with my "new" wife. That is as long as the nuclear situation would not get any worse than what it is now and planes still fly between Japan and USA.

Attending reunion, to me, means 7,500 miles / 15 hours of travel (that is one way!!!) + "some" money. But I am sure it will worth it. Haven't visited Tulsa for years now and I am waiting to catch up with y'all Cardinals!!!

School Story:

Well, to me, it was certainly the MOST memorable experience to be in a highschool in the USA. Everything that an average American would take for granted was so new to me.

Riding on the back of a truck to go to cross country run (I was in the cross country team), buying hamburgers at "drive-thru" places (which is normal now in Japan but there was no such thing back in 1981), eating Mexican food for the first time, going to football games, falling in love with some American girls, going to prom, singing in the choir waring tuxido etc. etc.

Senior Follies was one of the most memorable occations to me. With Glen Welaska, Gil Petcoff, Phil West and several others, we did stupid cover of Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke" song. Probably one of the most stupid things I've ever done in my life. I may still have a cassette tape recordings of that. Unfortunately I no longer have a device to play the tape though...

This is a little after "then". I think this photo was shot in 1982 soon after I returned back to Japan.

This is "now". Quite a change in look, I must admit. The point is I'm still rockin'!

Bohemian Rhapsody by KWEEN, a Queen tribute band

Bohemian Rhapsody as performed by one of the best QUEEN tribute bands named KWEEN. This footage was taped at Peaceful Love Rock Festival 07, held in Okinawa, Japan where they played in front of thousands of people.

While KWEEN was one of the very few tribute bands to have been acknowledged by Brian May (the vocalist received a very nice complement letter from Brian), they sadly broke up in 2008. Now the vocalist has formed a new band named "Queeness". I am hoping that he will give me the permission to upload the new band's performance when it becomes available.
