The more things change, the more they stay the same...
I've not strayed too far from home since graduating. I remained in Tulsa where I worked at Saint Francis Hospital for 18 years. In the middle of those years I took some time off when Kayla was born and had an in-home daycare that was quite successful. I left Saint Francis for good 2 years ago to work for Deloitte Consulting as an SAP Consultant.
I live in the same house I did 20 years ago. After my mother passed away, following a 7yr battle with ovarian cancer, the house became mine. I had to sell one of my houses so I opted to sell my house in midtown and move home. As much as I'd love a huge kitchen or extra bedroom, I don't know that I could part with this old place... so many memories.
My daughter, Kayla, is going into the 8th grade at Thoreau and my son, Hunter, is going into the 1st grade at Key Elementary. I've been my daughter's Girl Scout leader for the past 7 years and my son has just joined Cub Scouts. I'm fighting my natural instincts and NOT bing the Cub Scout leader as well.
When I have time for a hobby, I enjoy photography. I learned early on that the best way to stay out the picture is to be on the backside of a camera. I enjoy photographing my children (of course) as well as the simple beauty in nature.
