Let's see, what have I been up to for 20 years..LOL! I got married between my Jr/Sr year. Moved to Houston. Was married to Michelle Davis for 5 years. After we split up I dove into playing music full time and drinkin' whiskey. LOL! I married my second wife in 1995 and moved to Nashville the month after the wedding. I got to do a lot of cool things while in Nashville. I recorded an album with a band playing bass for them. I got to write all the bass parts and play on the album. I was then hired by a band out of Dallas to play some shows in Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Valdosta, Ga. I became real good friends with a singer/songwriter from North Carolina named Ray Scott. Some of the songs we wrote together got me in the door to meet industry producers Noro Wilson (Tammy Wynette, Geroge Jones, Kenny Chesney..Etc) and Buddy Canon (George Strait, Kenny Chesney...Etc). I moved back to Oklahoma in 1999 after divorcing wife #2. I ran into Vicki Dalton when they were putting an alumni band together. We started dating and married in 2000. We were blessed with a daughter, Marley Elisse Lovell in April of 2001. Just like in Clinton and at Webster, Vicki and I are better as friends than partners and we split in 2004. While her and I were together I joined a rock band here in Tulsa and recorded an album and played all over.
I have had a variety of jobs since high school. I started in drafting when I was 19 and have worked in and out of it since. I worked at a cemetery in Nashville. I worked in security. I was a jailer for the Creek County sheriff's office. I have been a welder, fast food etc..etc.. LOL!
I now live back on the Westside and it feels good, but I still long to be out on the road playing music for a living. I am the lead singer in the band Cactus Jones and we play all over Oklahoma. If you check out my myspace you can see where we're gonna be. Come out and let's catch up and reminisce!
School Story:
Wet feet from marching practice in the mornings. Mr. Larkin sending me and Gia Cypert to TG&Y to get Hi-Liters and when we were coming back we heard on the radio that the space shuttle had exploded. Mark Hignite's car and that LOUD stereo that almost made your ears bleed. LOL!
