George Walker

Mike was a classmate at the UA School of Law and it was good to reconnect with him there after we attended different undergraduate schools.  We were both in the second section because we were in the last half of the alphabet and we were in most classes together our first two years.  He was a high quality classmate and friend who was always willing to discuss a case or commisserate about a horrible personal performance in the classroom in response to some professor's spirited use of the Socratic Method.  It seems that he did not change much between Norhtington and law school.  RIP counsellor.

Alice: I am disappointed to see that you have not yet signed up for the Class of 70 Reunion in TTown on April 24-25. Emily has appointed me to bring everyone from south Alabama up with me. And I definitely want the entire Downs gang represented. Sign up and show up; I know we will all have fun and Walter Phillips has a first class thumb drive with every song you ever loved.

Skip: you are on my list to call and encourage to attend the 50th Reunion the weekend of April 24-25. I don't have a phone number for you, so I am sending this comment instead. I hope that you and Frances will be able to make it to Tuscaloosa for the reunion; Emily and her host committee are cooking up some good times to be had. On a side note, my older son attended law school at W&L, and I envy your and your son's experiences there. I hope that we will see you in April.
