Mike always had a smile on his face and made me laugh. He was one of those special people I ALWAY looked forward to being with. A toast to his menory....he would have liked that! Karen Richards

I always loved Mike. What a sweet guy. He had the best heart. He sealed the driveway at my first house....president and owner of the Gray Truck Enterprises. Here's to you, Mike. Jackie DuVall

Wow! I'll never forget Mike. Such a fun guy always slapping me on the back. I'll miss him.

On my very first day as the new kid in 8-11 at Jones Junior High (in early November, 1960), as a general bedlam in the classroom was finally beginning to settle down, Mike (who I'd obviously not met yet) wheeled around in his seat to face me and, feigning drunkeness, sang me a chorus of the old carousing song "Rye Whiskey" ("Rye whiskey rye whiskey rye whisley aye aye, if I don't have more whiskey I think I shall die")and then asked me plaintively, in a voice I can still hear, "You got whishhhkey??" As he doubtless hoped, I was more than slightly taken aback!
But I saw the twinkle in his eye and quickly learned what an amiable, good-hearted guy he was. I'm so sorry I won't have the chance to remind him of how he memorably introduced himself . . .

Good natured, full of fun Mike was a really positive addition to our community. I will never forget going trick-or-treating at his house with a group of girls. When we got to his house his father scared the hell out of us by popping up from behind the door and yelling BOO!. Sounds like something Mike would do.

ADA! A Millers Park Bulldog regular, hit me harder than anyone else in the CBL ever did. Just a great guy.
