I have such fond memories of Gloria from Soph & Jr. year when we played on the girls basketball team together. She, Nancy Popa and I had such fun shooting the "hoops" and rules at the time only allowed us to dribble taking three steps before passing....women's sports certainly have changed for the better; and as I, remember the only time we could practice was 6:30 in the morning.

Gloria was a quiet and private person with a twinkle in her eye and a quick wit. I will miss seeing her.

I can't believe that Gloria is gone. We were friends from high school, through college and after I married. She would drive over to our apartment and pick me up in her little sports car and we'd go play tennis. She always beat me! She was one of my bridesmaids in my first wedding. It wasn't easy to find a dress for her that she would actually consent to wear! My biggest challenge was to make sure she wouldn't get poison ivy before the wedding, since she was always outside, playing golf or tennis. She was smart, fun, and loved life. I miss her.

Growing up on Swansea , Gloria lived across the street, Ned and Darrel Timmons next door (until they moved the Jim Lentz lived there). We used to play a lot of football in the yards with Gloria's brothers Keith (BIG GUY), Jimmy (small guy) Gloria and a few other kids from the neighborhood. Gloria hit as hard as her older brother Keith.
