After graduation I spent four years in Charlottesville truly enjoying my college experience at UVA. I graduated in 1992 with a degree in Government and Foreign Affairs Middle Eastern Concentration with a Religion/Sociology Minor(that's a mouthful). The federal governemnt had a hiring freeze when I graduated and the consulting job I was offered would not pay the rent in D.C. I took a year trying to find out what I wanted to do with my life. I spent some time in Charlotte and on the family farm. I ended up back in Roanoke in a sales position with a family run construction supply company. It was not glamorous, but I learned a great deal about business. I stayed there almost three years and soon after being promoted, I took a job selling medical supplies into hospitals, long term care, and home health. I have to thank Dave Womack and his mother, as I work with her specialty and she helped me during the interview process.
My family and I continue to reside in the Roanoke area with my oldest to attend Lord Botetourt next year. I travel frequently in VA, NC, SC and FL for my work. I continue to work for the Medical Device division of Bristol-Myers Squibb, ConvaTec. When home, I spend much of my time at Kelsey's events (volleyball, soccer, softball and church events). I still attempt to maintain competitive by playing basketball, softball and golfing when I can get some free time. I also enjoy watching Madison grow and mature on a daily basis.
My wife and I enjoy traveling and have been to Cancun, Cozumel, St. Lucia and the Dominican Republic in the last few years. We also love Topsail Island in NC. It is quiet with a great beach. We plan on cruising Alaska in the late Spring.
