Kathy Norton Shellady

Retired in 2009 from teaching. Spent first three years caring for my mother who passed away in 2012. Since then have been traveling and doing art work with my husband. We spend the winters in Florida and spent this summer on the Oregon coast. Being close to family, we spend a great deal of time together when we are home. Life has been very good to us.

One of my funniest memories was with Peter Morrison. We were both terrified of blood and needles. In junior high, they wanted to type our blood for some class and Peter and I kept moving to the back of the line, trying to hide so we wouldn't have to participate. We were always the pansies when it came to things like that.

Also in elementary school, I remember Karen Vosika bringing one of her dad's medical books and the girls would meet under a tree on the playground to learn about the birds and the bees!
