Who was your favorite teacher at WGHS and why?

Wilda Swift was one of my favorites. She inspired me to take an interest in history that is still alive. Her pleasant disposition disarmed my disruptive tendencies and allowed me to learn.

Another favorite was Minnie Philips. I had her for Classic World Literature. Her insight and enthusiasm for the books we read opened my eyes to a world much different than I'd known before taking her class.

LeRoy had a smile that could light up a room.   His sense of humor was something that got me in troulble while in class with him.  He was also very smart.  Able to keep a strait face, LeRoy would sit with a blank face while the teacher was scolding me.  I wish that I had known him as an adult.

Making breakfast for the kids.
