I showed up at WAC in the middle of my junior year. from Phoenix AZ. That first day when you're introduced in class, Dale came up to me, shook hands and welcomed me to the school, offering to introduce me to his friends so I wouldn't feel alone. I had mumps my senior year and stayed home looking pretty hideous yet Dale visited several times bringing me class assignments so I wouldn't fall behind. Such a gentleman! And what wonderful parents!  I grew up with my grandparents so sort of borrowed Dale's mom who took me in too. I miss all of you.

Dale was a true gentleman and friend.  So sorry he left us too soon.

I enjoyed singing in Madrigals with Dale.  I loved his deep bass voice.  Jackie hit it right on the head when she said he was a true gentleman and also a wonderful friend.

He died in 2010 within days of my wife's passing. Both are nurird at ther VA cenetary in Union Grove,

Dale grew up with a wonderful family. I knew them well. They often invited me to stay for dinner. Sometimes older people rely upon alcohol to cope with loss. Dale had family members who died tragically along with his wife, Dale experienced both.

Dale was a career Army officer. He may have had friends killed in battle or severely wounded confined to wheelchairs for life with artificial limbs. We don't know.

Dale was one of my best friends at WAC. I miss you my friend. Rest in peace.
